Many NP fans will tell you that she is the greatest person to walk the earth. But this is just a symptom of the awe that one may percieve by looking upon the image of Natalie Portman. She is just an person who loves being an actress and sharing her talent in movies abd pictorials (fashion pictorials, not those kind that some ill of her may be pondering upon). To me, Natalie Portman seems to be an average person who has done amazing things.


Natalie Portman was born in Jerusalem, Israel on June 9th, 1981. I personally have not found out why she was born there or of her religious background. It has been concluded by many fan sites that she is Jewish, but K.N.O.P. does not support or condone this idea. When she was age seven, she came to live in Washington D.C., USA. Later, when she was seven she moved into Connecticut, and then onto Long Island, New York at the age of nine.


Her life, to those which may say that her life began in the public eye, started with a discovery at a pizza parlor. A modelling agent wanted her to become a model yet she chose to become an actress at age 11. And so the person Natalie Portman became part of the movie Leon (aka The Professional in the US). The young star has made more films beyond Leon including Star Wars Episode I. Many debates still go on on which film has launched her into the world's spotlight.


Natalie Portman is just the pseudonym that Natalie uses. Natalie is her real first name but Portman is her grandmother's maiden name. It seems as though that Natalie and her family has pondered upon her future and used Portman as a detterrent to keep "fans" from finding her. [KNOP also thinks that Portman may also just be recognition to Natalie's grandmother. Hey, who doesn't love their grandmother?]


From what has been revealed to the public, Miss Portman's academic record is nothing but spectacular. Sources state that she has been on the honor role and achieved a straight "A" average her junior year. To some, this may be nothing, but it must be known that this feat was accomplished during her part in the Broadway version of The Diary of Anne Frank. A article written by Natalie in the magazine Seventeen details her life during her junior year.
